Let's think for a minute, what is your all time favorite movie as a couple? What movie really shines out in your mind when you think of a film that features the life of a couple? Some ideas, in case that spark hasn't quite hit you yet: Bonnie and Clyde, Brad and Janet (Rocky Horror Picture Show), Tarzan and Jane, Pretty Woman, Sandy and Danny (Grease), and Lucy and Ricky (I Love Lucy). I'm sure there are many others that you can think of, but let's focus on these, and hopefully they will bring inspiration for you on your wedding day.
Let's start off with a little criminal side as we picture Bonnie and Clyde. Playing this theme up at your wedding would work wonderfully, having all the guests being part of the mob and the happy couple as our featured couple: Bonnie and Clyde. Each one of our featured couples can be the star attraction in a special setting, and Bonnie and Clyde may be featured in a warehouse, or some other similar place.
Brad and Janet. Now this is a completely new twist to how a wedding may be portrayed. If you take into consideration the matter of the film, and the exotic wardrobe that is pictured during most of the film, it may be hard to pin point which particular part you may want for your wedding. Either way, this one would be a fun one if your men are not afraid to wear a few women's undergarments.
Tarzan and Jane would be an entertaining wedding theme featuring a jungle. The groom will have to be incredibly comfortable with himself to sport the limited amount of fabric that he will be wearing in his loincloth. Jane can be pictured in one of two ways, either as the explorer she starts out to be, or the jungle queen she later becomes. The guests can all partake by dressing in animal patterns (saving money by not dressing as the whole animal).
Sandy and Danny and the whole Grease gang. This is an amazing wedding theme if you are looking for something that is not only retro, but also has good theme music to for dancing at your wedding. Conservative, and fully clothed, this may be for the couple that is looking to have fun, but in a neater manner.
And finally, let's not forget our "I Love Lucy" theme, a good one for those that love the show. It may also require a bit of dressing up, which can also be fun for the couple and the guests. The guests can dress as people from the time period 50' and 60's and it will be relatively inexpensive. The best part is both Lucy and Ricky can have their maid of honor/best man be Fred and Ethel.
Whichever movie film or sitcom you choose, all the couples are perfect, and entertaining. And the best thing is, each film has its own unique theme that can be brought you're your wedding. Have fun!
